Cornelius has dedicated 25 of service years to the residents, staff and guests of Kirby Pines. She can always be counted on to show up get the job done. Cornelius is kind to the residents and her coworkers. Congratulations Cornelius on a job well done.

Describe your family: I have a younger brother ad sister. We all enjoy eating and hanging out.

Describe yourself in five words: Humble, patient, kind, open-minded and dependable.

What do you do for fun: I enjoy acting silly with my family, especially my son.

Do you have a pet: A 10 year old Yorkie named Cody and a 1 year old Pitbull named KoKo.

Do you have any hobbies or interests: I can’t sing, but love it. Give me a microphone and it’s on!

What is your favorite thing about your job: I really enjoy helping people and learning new things.

What is your favorite food: Any red pasta & gummy candy.  Favorite song: Love All Over Me by Monica. But many more, too. 

What is something you are proud of: I am a proud mother of a four year old son. 

What would you like people to know about you: I love to laugh, laugh, laugh. I love funny movies and stand-up comedy shows.

As a nurse on the Rehab Unit, Nasheka definitely makes a difference in the resident’s care. Her pleasing personality warmly welcomes residents and their families, comforting them during their stay. Her kindness along with expertise as an efficient and effective clinician makes her a joy to work with. The key to Nasheka’s success as a Unit Manager and a great team player is her ability to deliver stellar results, often times under pressure—with a smile. Congratulations from all of us!

Do you have a pet: A poodle, his name is State. 

Do you have any hobbies or interests: My idol is Selena Quintanilla, so anything to do with her.

What is your favorite thing about your job: Getting to help residents and putting a smile on their faces.

What is your favorite food: Any kind of Chicken or watermelon.  Favorite song: BIDI BIDI BOM BOM by Selena Quintanilla. 

What is something you are proud of: I am proud of myself and how far I’ve come in this life so far. Also my friends and family. 

What would you like people to know about you: I am always available if anyone needs me for anything and I love to joke and laugh.

Channon brings a bright smile to Caring in Place every day! Her consistent positive attitude always boosts our spirits, when we need it most. What do you do for fun: Vacation at the beach.  

Do you have a pet: A cat named Precious.  

Do you have any hobbies or interests: Gardening, Soduko Puzzles and Children’s Ministry.

What is your favorite thing about your job: Helping residents stay healthy and strong. 

What would you like people to know about you: God did a miracle 10 years ago, when Cheryl Grimes called me to teach water aerobics at Kirby Pines.

Mary exemplifies Kirby in all she does. She goes above and beyond to cultivate a meaningful place for the residents and staff alike. She is always thinking of new and innovative ideas and always has a positive attitude. You can always count on Mary to get the job and more complete!

He is never self-serving and can always be counted on to go above and beyond to provide the best care for our residents. He treats everyone like family and has never meet a stranger. What do you do for fun: Follow my grandchildren, listen to music, watch documentaries, workout. 

Do you have any hobbies or interests: Researching my genealogy and writing.

What is your favorite food: Tacos.  Favorite song: Rhapsody In Blue by George Gershwin. 

What is your favorite thing about your job: Talking to the residents. I never knew my grandparents, so they are the next best thing. 

What is something you are proud of:  Helping raise exceptional children who are loving, helpful and good friends to their friends. 

What would you like people to know about you:  During my 35 years producing television programs and custom videos, I have traveled to every state except North Dakota and Alaska.

Donald has been taking on the added duties and responsibilities of Transportation Supervisor since the position has been vacant. He is very friendly and always has a good attitude. Don has been making the schedules, assisting with the delivery of packages to residents and taking care of the transportation needs for residents and employees. We are proud to have him.

Friendly, caring, team player, a support to new employees, always going the extra mile …… these are just a few words that describe Colesha Cross and why she deserves to be Employee of the Month. As a long-time employee at Kirby Pines, and as a mentor to new employees, Colesha assists in training orientees based on a team-approach, and always doing what’s best for the resident, other employees, and guests within the facility. No task is too large or small for Colesha to handle. She seeks out the appropriate support to get the job done and completes each function in an excellent manner. We are extremely proud of Colesha and all that she does for Kirby Pines and our residents.

What is something you are proud of:  God’s blessing with the gift to reach people that are lacking love. 

What would you like people to know about you:  I have faith in God to guide me to be happy and to care and be mindful of others. 

Pat treats our residents as if they are her own family. She is always finding new ways to keep them engaged. She pays attention as well. If she notices any change in their behavior or in the physical well-being, she notifies a manager right away. Pat is also a team player and will assist in any area needed with a smile on her face.

Ms. Jones is the very embodiment of what Kirby Pines represents. She is always first to make sure our Residents are taken care of, first to make sure teammates are lifted up and given credit where credit is due, and first to help pitch in and get tasks done when opportunities may arise.

Describe your family: Six kids and a wife who has gone to live with the Lord.

What would you like people to know about you: I’m a proud American.

Mr. Alan does not know the word “No”. He has repeatedly changed his schedule to cover for others and goes above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure our residents have what they need. When covering in The Bistro, a resident asked for chicken salad, Alan made it special, and now makes it once a week, knowing that resident will be in to order it. Mr. Hill shows that a positive attitude and willingness to help can go a long way and we appreciate everything he does.
